Travel Scooter vs Full-Size Scooter: Which to Rent

Both of these will get you where you are going, but they are built for different kinds of days. Knowing the trade-offs up front means you rent the one that actually fits your plans instead of one that is either overkill or not quite enough.

Travel scooters: light, foldable, easy to transport

A travel scooter like the Pride GoGo is designed to come apart or fold so it can go in a car trunk and travel with you. It is lighter, nimble in tight spaces, and perfect for errands, shopping, appointments and getting around a town or an event. The trade-offs are a shorter battery range and a firmer, more compact seat. For most day trips and vacation outings, a travel scooter is plenty, and if you want to go further, a spare battery extends your range.

Full-size scooters: more range, more comfort

A full-size model like the Pride Victory 10 gives you a longer battery range, a bigger and more cushioned seat, and a more planted ride over distance and mixed terrain. It is the better choice for long outdoor days, bigger riders, and anyone who will be on the scooter for hours at a time. The trade-off is that it is heavier and does not fold, so it is less about tossing in a trunk and more about serious all-day use.

How to choose

Ask yourself two questions: how far will you travel in a day, and do you need to transport the scooter yourself? Short-to-medium outings and easy portability point to a travel scooter. Long days, maximum comfort and range point to full-size. We deliver either one, so you do not have to lift anything regardless. Tell us your plans and we will match you up.

Rent the scooter that suits your days.
