Mobility Scooter and Wheelchair Rental in Stowe, VT
Stowe is one of the most visited towns in Vermont, and for good reason: a white-steepled village, Mount Mansfield on the skyline, and the Stowe Recreation Path winding along the river past farms and meadows. If someone in your group has trouble walking long distances, a mobility scooter rental or wheelchair rental means they get the whole trip instead of watching from the car.
The Stowe Recreation Path
The Rec Path is the star for accessible visits. It is paved, gently graded and runs over five miles from the village toward the mountain, crossing the West Branch on little bridges. On foot most people manage a short piece. On a scooter with a spare battery, you can do a long stretch and be back for lunch.
The village
Main Street has shops, galleries and cafes, with sidewalks that are mostly good but sloped in spots. A 4-wheel scooter feels steadier here. If you would rather be pushed, a transport chair folds into any trunk.
Foliage and ski season
Stowe gets very busy in foliage season and over ski holidays. Many visitors come for the views from the base area or a gondola ride with a family member who no longer skis. A rental helps them get from parking to the lodge and stay comfortable while everyone else is on the mountain. Ask lifts and gondolas directly about boarding with mobility devices.
